Benefits of Lard Soap
The Feel – Lard creates a creamy, stable lather. Because of its fatty acid make up, it creates a lot of glycerin which helps to keep the skin moisturized.
The Composition – As an animal fat, lard is highly compatible with the structure of the human cell. Our cell membranes are made up of saturated fats, like those found in lard, creating a soap that is much more nourishing than plant-derived soaps.
A nice hard bar – Lard creates a hard, long-lasting bar of soap.
The Environment – Lard is a natural byproduct of the meat industry, and is often a “throw away” ingredient. Animals are not killed for their fat, so by making soap out of it, we are ensuring that every ingredient is used.
